Final to be Held on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at PJ’s Sports Bar & Grill at Shawnee Mission Parkway and Neimen, in Shawnee.
Judging Critieria:
Three categories, each scored on a 1 – 10 scale with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest. Total of 30 points.
· Vocals Ability
· Showmanship
· Technical Ability
· Special Category – 1 – 5 points will be added to each persons score based on the number of guests that each bar has in attendance at the final event. So, make sure you let Stars N Bars staff know who you’re there to support! This category will basically provide as a tie breaker, not a s the major scoring of the singer’s ability.
Rules:
· 21 & over
· First three weeks at each location, top 4 qualify to compete on the 4th week at that location. The top three scores at each location on the 4th week will represent that bar in the final competition on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at PJ’s Sports Bar & Grill.
· Cash prizes will be awarded for the top three individual scores. The individual scores will added be together for their Team Scores. The Team with the highest cumulative score will win the James Brown Trophy. Trophy to be on display at the bar they represent until the next team competition.
· Employees, contractual or otherwise, and family members of Stars N Bars Music, Jerry’s Bait Shop, El Tapatio and PJ’s Sports Bar & Grill are not eligible to participate.
Prizes:
· Team qualifying rounds prizes will be provided by each bar. Examples are products from the different vendors. No cash prizes for qualifying rounds
· Individual prizes for September Stimulus Final as follows:
1st place = $400
2nd Place = $150
3rd Place = $50
· The team with the highest cumulative score will win the traveling “James Brown” Trophy
